Catherine owns Seda Communication, an Internet marketing and training company. She’s a professional speaker who offers conference keynotes and workshops, as well as on-site training. She has shared search engine tips and case studies with Search Engine Strategies participants since 1999.
Since 1995, Catherine has worked with organizations in the U.S. and Europe to leverage the Internet as a marketing tool. As the marketing executive a Web agency for five years, she championed client online promotions that included: search engine optimization, pay-per-placement media buys, opt-in e-mail, banner advertising, link popularity campaigns, custom sweepstakes and ROI tracking. She also designed the search engine program for a direct response TV agency’s clients. Her key accomplishments for these agencies’ clients included:
- Negotiated 25-100% discounts on online advertising opportunities, which included trading the cost of a sweepstakes for the client’s product
- Generated $10,000-$40,000 in sales each month from less than $2,000 in search engine fees
- Co-created an affiliate trademark protection strategy that prevents profit loss from third-party resellers
